Corsano Health in SEARCH: Advancing Wearable Data for Privacy-Preserving Health Research

Corsano Health is a medtech company developing medical-grade wearables and cloud technologies for continuous physiological monitoring. Our CardioWatch platform provides high-quality multi-sensor data streams used in clinical research, algorithm development and remote patient monitoring, and is deployed across hospitals, research centres and large international studies.

The SEARCH project aims to enable responsible, large-scale health research by combining federated data infrastructures with the generation of high-quality synthetic health data. By creating realistic and privacy-preserving representations of biomedical signals and clinical information, SEARCH supports the development of advanced AI models while respecting regulatory requirements, data sovereignty and ethical standards. The project brings together clinical institutions, research organisations, technology providers and industry experts to build tools, benchmarks and validation frameworks that can be widely adopted across Europe.

Within this context, Corsano contributes experience in wearable physiological signals, data quality considerations and real-world clinical workflows. Our involvement supports the consortium in ensuring that synthetic datasets and related tools reflect the practical characteristics of device-based monitoring and are aligned with the needs of research, healthcare and digital health innovation. Corsano also engages in broader dissemination and industry interaction activities to foster uptake and long-term sustainability of the project outcomes.

Peter Stas, CEO, Corsano Health, said:

“Corsano Health is proud to be a member of the SEARCH Consortium. SEARCH is revolutionizing healthcare by enabling the creation and sharing of high-quality synthetic data for a wide range of applications. Through federated learning and advanced synthetic data generation (SDG) methods, Corsano will produce datasets that mirror real-world data while safeguarding patient privacy. This initiative will provide healthcare providers and researchers with the data they need to drive next-generation AI innovations and precision medicine.”

Through its participation in SEARCH, Corsano helps promote an ecosystem where high-resolution wearable data can be used safely and effectively for AI development, multi-centre collaboration and new clinical applications, all while maintaining strong privacy protections and compliance with European regulations and keeping an eye on the needs of industry.
